'Prepare Like a Pro' Programme

At Croxley Danes School, we are proud to introduce our Prepare Like a Pro programme—an integral part of our commitment to helping every learner become a confident, independent learner who is fully engaged in learning and growing.

This programme, delivered during form time to all learners from Year 7 to Year 13, is designed to equip them with essential learning skills. Through Prepare Like a Pro, learners develop effective study habits, take greater ownership of their learning, and build the confidence needed to succeed academically. Our aim is to instil a sense of pride in their progress and empower them to become masters of their own learning journey.

For 2025/2026, the programme will take the following format:

Our Year 10 learners also take part in the Core Facts Challenge which runs from January-March  each year. This is a programme designed to instil our learners with the relevant revision skills to master core content (150 facts) from their core subjects (Maths, English, Science). learners take part in an intensive programme during the whole of spring 1 and then sit a formal test at the end of March. This provides excellent preparation for their first set of mock examinations at the start of the summer term.
